Haven't seen anything of the game whatsoever, but all I can say if there were some dodgy decisions that screwed Arsenal, is GOOD. Wenger is the biggest whinging hyopcritical twat in football, so if things go unfairly against him, good.

As I said, I've seen nothing of the game but let me guess:

Newcastle benefit from dodgy decision: Wenger had perfect view and was outraged and spent 10 minutes harranging the 4th official

Arsenal benefit from dodgy decision: Wenger didn't see it

If you could combine the steel and resilience of a George Graham side with the flair of Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, they'd win the league easily.

I strongly recommend listening to Alan Davies' Arsenal podcast, The Tuesday Club.

Usually it's very funny, I can't imagine this weeks will be anything less than hilarious.

Lets get things straight and in the right perspective.

1. Diaby pushed 2 players in retaliation so a definite red.
2. Bartons tackle was a perfect defensive tackle not even a free kick.
3. Newcastle 2nd penalty was given by the assistant not the ref.
4. Nolan tried to grab the ball from the keeper but he turned to avoid dropping it so Nolan finished up by grabbing him through no fault of his own.
5. Newcastle had a perfectly good goal ruled out for offside that wasa very bad decision.

The end product is the ref did nothing wrong and gave correct decisions as given to him by his assistant but the assistant was very poor thus making this game into one of the best ever in the Premier League.

the bigger picture.

The bigger picture is. Arsenal gained a point this weekend... (chels only drew away at newcastle as well people are forgetting) ref and lino had a mare but thats football. Brighton have had just as bad officiating at nearly every home game this season. But the difference... We are top of the league i said we are top of the league!

I think Barton knew exactly what he was doing. Go through Diaby as hard as possible within the laws of the game, try and get a reaction, risk getting booked.
It worked, Diaby shouldn't have reacted like he did, it gave Barton EXACTLY what he wanted.

Is no one sympathising with Diaby at all?

Can anyone else honestly say they wouldn't react the same if someone had just tried to end their career?

No sympathy at all. It wasn't a foul, it wasn't reckless, it wasn't two-footed. Must say I agree with Barton, if he doesn't like physical contact, he has no business playing football and should take up basketball.

God knows how he'd have behaved if he'd played against the likes of Hunter, Harris, Storey, Mackay and Tommy Smith.

"Inconsistent refereeing needs to stop. It's killing the game. If Diaby goes ... what's the difference between that and Nolan on our keeper?? #Joke."

Presumably getting away with it because hes right?

Not a players place to tweet about it though is it?

I would say diving and cheating is killing it more wouldnt you say?
