The rumble of feet on the south stand at Withdean always put me in mind of "Zulu" when the rourkes drift defenders first hear the rumble of the Zulus spears on their shields in the distance..."sounds like a damned train"

Atmosphere was usually driven by one or two very loud individuals. Our own [MENTION=20]granny weatherwax[/MENTION] aka DTG was f***ing hilarious worth his weight in gold with his loud observations shouted at oppo players.

I recall many a time going to the Goldstone, when we were on MOTD.

I would come home and watch it on TV, only to be bitterly disappointed by lack of atmosphere. (The North had a roof in those days).

Amex has the best atmosphere in all the Albion home grounds I have attended.
