Netbook Help!

Hi Lady Oscar here!

Does anybody know anything about which Netbook is a good buy for around £300?

I'm looking for really basic stuff - pay as you go internet browsing/some kind of Word style application/decent-ish battery life and anti virus stuff - and that's it!

As I have read so many conflicting reviews about various makes and models I haven't got a great idea as to which one is best - so can anyone help?

They know what they're talking about so I'd certainly take their advice. This is the American site BUT you'll be able to find the same netbooks over here

Got 2 of those in the house and they are brilliant. If you have £300 i'd look at the Samsung N110, which is just a little bit bettter and what I am using to type this!

Great purchase

I have had an NC10 since September and use it most days.

I decided to pay a bit extra and get the model with the built in HSDPA card (mobile broadband) as I am out off the office almost as much as in the office.

On the Island the company pays £10 per month rental for a 2GB allowance. Expensive/GB but invaluable.

When I am on your side of the water I have a T-Mobile pay as you go mobile broadband sim card that costs £2 per day of useage with 2GB maximum daily bandwidth.
