would have Bridge LB but wont be fit, cant think if Barry plays LB anymore but he used to be good there and cant think of anyone else. If G Neville not fit then Young again.

Have Gerrard drop back into DMC and allow Lampard to roam forward and/or have rooney drop back alongside Lampard (as he likes to do), he'd go nowehere near the wings!

Have Wright-Philips come on for Gerrard in the final 20mins if the match is drawn, Beckham goes to CM/DMC area with Wright-Philips tearing down the tired defences with Defoe replacing Rooney. Maybe Jenas on for Cole instead of WP for Gerrard.

thats how I'd play it in FM2005 anyway, flat 4-4-2 with switchable to 4-4-2 diamond, attack down the flanks or through the middle if/when Rooney drops off the frontline.......job done!
