My view of the game

I was right in between the two sets of fans, and have to admit, the Saints to my right were louder than the Albion to my left. It was also the first time I can remember that.

From previous visits I always found Southampton an unusually quiet set of fans, but not last night. They seemed to be up for it, their team were up for it, wheras we need a win - even our fans were nervous and quieter than usual.

No way were we outsung. I don't think people realise how LOUD our away support is - there was only a pocket of Scummers to the right who sang occasionly - the rest of the ground was silent. And empty

Yes you were definitely outsung. I was in the Southampton end near the bench's and Southampton were much louder.

I have to agree. That's the first time I can remember us getting totally outsung by home fans and as much as I despise them, fair play to them. They unsettled CA too and influenced the ref to book him.
