It's funny Albion fans are doing the exact mirror image of what they're accusing Palace fans of doing. BHA fans are PLAYING DOWN his contribution to us as he's gone to our rivals for nothing.

Murray was absolutely IMMENSE for us last season. IMMENSE. Many of our fans want to do the internet equivalent of basically sticking their fingers in their ears and singing "I can't hear you la la la".

he had such a immense season that prem clubs were falling over themselves to sign him.

Very few if any Premiership clubs will be interested in a late twenties Division 1 striker regardless of how well he played. The step up is phenomenal and the fact there were no interested teams is not indicative of his contribution last year.

Quite simply he was outstanding throughout the campaign, not only for goals scored but his total contribution was IMMENSE.

OK yes he managed to score four more than Ashley Barnes whom played less games. but Murry did miss some sitter's and not to mention penalty's.
Murry did what he needed to do to get a good contract nothing more. yes he did score some good goals but so did others,
and going to palace who had struggled for the last two season sums it up well,

You have to look at more than his goals, his general play last season was simply superb. Clearly we are missing him (not as much as we miss Bennett but hey ho) which is why we currently have Paynter who is nowhere near as good as Murray at holding the ball up and bringing others into play.

He may well have complimented CMS, but there is a huge difference between the two:

CMS wanted to come and play for us instead of several other "bigger" teams.
Murray had the chance to stay and turned it down. If he had CMS's attitude and desire to progress, he would have stayed.

Move on people.

Murray had a chance to stay for a lot less money than palarse were offering. CMS did very nicely financially out of his move to the Albion. They are "professional" footballers. Both took the same route of rather strange moves to other clubs. Murray would have stayed and improved if we'd improved our offer. Murray is a very gifted footballer especially when compared to Billy Paynter who is currently trying to fulfil the Murray role. Who would you honestly prefer to have up front with CMS out of those two? In the perfect world of hindsight who would Gus prefer to have up front with CMS? Murray may be a moody bugger who didn't bleed blue and white but we'd be better off with him and CPFC would be shitier.

no goals in 8 hours for palace and darling glenn puts a pen wide on saturday.

Noticably quiet on here from that lot these days. Pleasant change

Erm..isn't that what Ryan Harley did? At least Muzza actually HIT the ball, not tippy-tapped it. Maybe the Millwall goalie pychs penalty takers out.

What about the fact that Hoskins who we have not seen much of scored 20 odd goals for a team that got relegated is he although a different type of player a good replacement ?
