I'll start. S Club 7 Reach for the Stars.

IO went to a funeral last year where this was played. The deceased died after illness so had the chance to plan her own service and she did this perfectly. It was by far the most moving and 'personal' funeral I had ever attended and she was not 'close' to me, being the wife of a mate.

'Reach' was played after the service and 50 pink baloons were released to float skywards, just one of many touching moments.

At my place of work, quite a few years ago now - there used to be a Turkish satellite channel. Broadcast out of a couple of rooms and they eventually ran off one day without paying the bill.

Anyway - a Turkish President died, probably ex-president and the home country was in mourning.

The couple of blokes working in there were desperate for some suitably solemn music to play on orders of their bosses in Turkey since the days schedule had been cancelled in respect of the dead president.

They rushed into our tape library, but we were unable to help so a friend of mine took them to a music and sound effects company nearby.

They managed to retrieve the required music from their huge library and rushed back to the transmission suite and wacked the CD in the player.

Unfortunately the quickly arranged announcement of the president's demise was followed by a huge round of applause, whistling and cheering.
