He won’t be going to another PL club . Probably Spain where he would feel more at home with his language and the climate . Possibly Italy but deff not England - suspect he was here mainly for the salary .

No chance. We're already searching for the Bolivian Aguero in the Bosnian third division because he'd have resale value.

I always cringe when I see threads like this.

How do people have so little comprehension of the football transfer market?

Inter or Athletico his most likely destinations

I could name dozens of reasons why not us. The most obvious have been mentioned, but there are lots of others.

Cheer up fella!

There's nothing wrong with a tongue in cheek, or dare to dream thread!

Of course he's not coming to us, but we didn't think we'd land Vicente back in the day either, did we? :albion2:

You're probably right that he'll go to Atleti, but that will just free up Suarez to come to the Amex :lolol:

Messi is available on a free also, we should go for him. Mbappe has also been dreaming of playing for us since he took the ferry over from Dieppe on a school trip and tried on a shirt at the old Queens Road club shop.

He's off to either Barca or Juve.

Genuinely can't tell if this thread is all tongue in cheek or we really are completely and utterly deluded.

I for one have been well and truly whooshed if everyone's serious

I mean, he's basically just an old, decrepit version of Aaron Connolly, even down to the hair

He’s basically an older (albeit slightly better) version of Maupay, right? [emoji6]

The only case where I’d be in favour of an older, veteran, big money striker would be a target man. That’s why a few of us here have often talked about Giroud being that dream type of signing. The ultimate Murray replacement.

Very unlikely though and as mentioned, guys of this caliber will have their pick of elite clubs around the world and command astronomical wages. But then we did get Lallana, so you never know.

Yes, whilst obviously, there are a lot of not so serious posts (very much for this), there are also a lot of "worth a shot" or "not good enough - too old, too slow" posts in here...

If I thought everyone was being tongue in cheek, I wouldn't be cringing.

You can guarantee the many Palace fans that inhabit this forum will be reporting back that Brighton fans think they are getting Aguero

With all due respect to NSC’s NW residents, no talented South American, Spanish, Portuguese or African footballer is going to ply their trade up there for any other reason. He should get an OBE for sticking it out for a decade. Time to warm his bones in Spain.

We may have some competition……

Barcelona, however, are seen as favourites to land four-time Premier League winner Aguero, who has also been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus. (Manchester Evening News)

Surely his next contract will be purely about the love of the game. Hopefully Pep will tell him that he's rich enough now so he should go and play for the best English manager in the Prem. Done deal.

Love that people still trot this out.

He's 33. Could live for another sixty years and his children after him. If he's used to a expensive lifestyle and big house, which i know he is as i know where he lives, he's got to continue paying for it for years to come. I don't get why fans always think players should be happy to become volunteer footballers just because they have a decent amount of money.

If I’m one of the lucky ones who gets a ticket for the City game he will be the first player to receive a standing ovation from me when he’s inevitably subbed off or on for his minutes adulation, an absolutely magnificent player and one of the best strikers in PL history.

Yeah that's why Hale Barns down the road from me is full of retired footballers of all nationalities. Because it's such an awful place to live they all can't wait to up sticks back to the Med once their contracts expire.
