What Is Your Most Treasured Albion Moment?

Please don't start a happy, positive thread. NSC is the Leonard Cohen of Fans' Forums at the moment - don't spoil it!

And in answer to your question - the final whistle at Hereford. That result was the most important in the Albion's history till now.

Stuart Storer's goal runs it close.

Playoff final, as I'm too young for the '83 cup final, and didnt go to the Hereford game!

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
The two Championships.
Skint shirts all over Sussex.
Acres of press coverage (Little homeless Brighton pulling up trees etc).
Zamora banging them in.
Falmer Stadium within a few years (back then!).
Noisy atmospheres.
An opposing player sent off every home match.

Ps A pedant writes that the '98 Hereford game was actually '97.

Being at Withdean to see Danny Cullip score against Cheaterfield to give us promotion. Also the fact that I believe we had been guaranteed promotion some 6 games previous due to the fact that three results dropped into place on Easter Monday, ours being a 2-0 win at Plymouth away. Can't remember the other ones though.

As I recall, it was a crap, uneventful game on the whole. I believe we hit the bar late in the first half from a freekick, but beyond the penalty there was nothing else of note in the game.

Jimmy Case goal against Sheffield Wednesday in the semi final, and second to that something rather recent - The 1-0 away win at Palace.

The atmosphere that night was amazing and I can't think of an atmosphere like that.

I'm a bit indifferent about the play off final to be honest, it was a terrible game and we got there on the back of a couple of rubbish performances.

Despite having been to all of the polls memorable moments, my favourite was the 2-0 Goldstone win over Liverpool the season after we were relegated from the old 1st Division.

A great Goldstone moment and completely unexpected as we had lost quite a few of our star names.
