Yoda, with her it is not the message, it seems that in everything she writes, she speaks for the Majority, with a knowledge of all things. I don't what happened between the dogs, and honestly don't care.....

True, my ex-doesn't give a shit about little dogs because she knows they'll get a chunk taken out of them if they start anything on hers. :lolol:

What a wonderful neighbour she must be, I;m tempted to buy a dog just to be able to take itround to her house to let the beast crap on her doorstep.

I think it would be far more satisfying to curl one out on her doorstep myself, if somewhat indiscreet.

Is she also called Angie? ???

Letter: Being gay is not a lifetsyle choice

So, the Rev John Webster claims he loves the gay community and has friends in it (Letters, September 3).

Then why deny us our place in society and the chance to rally and show our solidarity with each other?

No one is trying to force our lifestyle upon anyone else and to claim that is disingenuous. This isn't a lifestyle choice taken from a chic magazine. It's what we are.

We aren't claiming straight people are abnormal in any way, we're claiming our lives aren't abnormal either.

It is the Church that has tried to stifle same sex partnerships. Quoting from the Bible means nothing. If the Church wanted to be honest, it would admit that nowhere in Christ's teachings does he speak out against same sex relationships. Only narrow minded people with influence claim it.

St Augustine, in his book About Married Bliss, instructed Christian women whose husbands like to perform non-creative sex to send them off to relieve their needs with prostitutes. So it's okay as long as it's not with a same sex partner and with a prostitute who doesn't share your religion. You'll forgive me if I find that laced with hypocrisy.

I recommend the book, Homophobia And The Bible by Michael Halls, not just to the good Reverend but to others who worry that their sexuality conflicts with Christianity.

What a pathetic, miserable old bat.

I don't really want to be an arse to people when we get the go ahead for Falmer but people like her wind me up and I feel determined to rub it in her (probably) withered old man face.

Her fatal flaw is that none of her arguments are reasoned or logical, merely snide, biased, opinionated tosh. It beggars belief that people like this expect to be taken seriously (assuming she does)

I don't understand what it is that makes this woman think she is such an authority on things??

My hope is that she realises what a complete c*nt she is making of herself, and I hope I am there to see it....

I would think that a thick skinned and arrogant retard like her will in fact reply in an attempt to justify herself.

BRING IT ON BITCH !!!

In another startling outburst, Angela Rowland has demanded that Christmas must be cancelled and anyone seen to partake in any festive past times to be arrested on the spot.

About as accurate as the rest of her comments ....

The High Street in Brighton is just off St James's Street.

I think this woman is to be cherished, not abused. Society needs these lonely old serial letter writers in order to reassure the rest of us that our lives are actually worth living. And to make us laugh. Seasoned comedy writers have nothing on her! We should have a permanent Sticky on NSC full of Angela Rowland letters.

The Argus in particular attracts this type of comedy Old Git. Don't know if he still exists, but there used to be a letter almost daily from Ray Wootton, Stanmer Avenue, Saltdean, setting the world to rights (in his inimitable way, naturally). Haven't seen anything from him in ages, so either he's been banned for incessant tediousness, or he's moved on to the great Points Of View in the sky.

And there's some old gimmer in Patcham who can't watch someone so much as sneeze in public without feeling the need to put pen to paper about it. Sadly I forget his name.

I wonder how many times shes complained to To the Old Bill. I can just imangine her phoning up to complain that the music is one decibel too loaud or that the motorist 3 milesup the road has parked his car about an inch over the allotted distance. Sad old bat!

Why not just flood the Argus with letters from "Angela Rowland", "Angie Rowland", "A Rowland" and make them so outrageous that the Argus won't know whether to print them or not - eventually her name will become synonymous with "we are not printing anything from her", and all her letters will be filed in the big round filing cabinet.

Competition time - see who can get the most biased, right wing letter through under her name and get it printed!

Good plan except they'll know by the email address if sent online and she's just not worth the price of a stamp.

When submitting a letter you have to give your full name and address.
I know someone did put her full address on here but we are getting into the realms of being spiteful and stupid here.

She isn't worth it. My satisfaction comes from the fact that most people think she is pathetic and has been shown to be so.

Why not send in a letter congratulating Brighton on the decision and wishing them well for the season. It's not spiteful or nasty, but you can imagine the pressure and heat that would build up between her ears!

If she is willing to go into print with her opinion on things, then surely she is a valid target to be sniped at? The Argus prints plenty of letters which destroy her statements, but the ones that stick in the mind are the letters that she sends, not the rebuttals. Otherwise why does she get so much attention on here?

She has only got attention since her letter last week about BHA. Before that noone had taken the slightest notice of her.
Now a few on Nsc have googled her other letters to further ridicule her (good sport on Nsc) but not for the Argus.
