I was fortunate enough to be invited to attend a tour of Falmer Stadium as as guest of ITfirst on Monday, and managed to get quite a few photos. I'm at work now, but just to whet your appetite, here are a few of the panoramic shots I took on my Satio phone.

some of these will be a little distorted, and where the arch doesn't quite join up, it's down to the phone not the builders!

View from top tier of West Stand (well, top of the access gangway, as the stand was still inaccessible)

These are not the full size version of the photos, and I have another 60 or so no panoramic shots, but I do like these ones... hopefully they are sufficently different to others to be of interest. :albion2:

If you can get some of the full size ones up, that would be great!

Excellent stuff. It's all starting to look rather neat and tidy in the middle.

I like these. To be honest (and I want to take nothing away from Mr Straw) but photos from other posters of CLOSE ups really dont inspire quite as much as these do where you can see it taking shape and actually looking like a stadium.

It was awe inspiring... especially on such a wonderful day.

I LOVE the way your pictures make it look like the arch is broken.
You shouldn't have said anything

Lol... you know what peopple on here are like... any excuse to moan... we'd have

THE FALMER ARCH IS BROKEN - BLOOM OUT! threads.

Any idea how I can post the full size images, but specify the display size? On other sites you get an option to specify when posting. but not here.

Good drills, get the Full size ones on here fella :)

But they are too big to display... around 1400x5000 or 5000x1400 (I've done some vertical ones as well).

How do I restrict the display size?

Its getting harder and harder to take an original shot from an original angle.

These are great. They are the closest yet to looking like the artistic impressions in the plans.

Agreed.

Im going to stick my neck out here and say that Im actually BORED of posters going "I went to Falmer look at what I took". Oh GOODY the SAME photos that EVERYONE else has took. A crane, some scaffolding, some cladding, some steps and the arch. We should have ONE thread dedicated to this.

Otherwise lets leave it to jack straw shall we, or like Papa L has and actually something DIFFERENT.

Burn the HERETIC I know.

Papa just post the links and people can view them at their own discretion.

Great shots, when will they start putting the corners in?

Brighton. NOT KEMPTOWN!
Love your photos K.
You have managed something different with these, which is now getting harder and harder to do.
Brilliant.
We are in danger of, dare I say it, "same old, same old", so these are very refreshing.

You're very kind. That's why I contacted you last week to see what hadn't been done before.

As I said at the top of the thread, i've got about 60 'normal' photos (taken with a far superior camera however), but these ones really do show the 'arena' in all its glory.

I will never tire of seeing pictures of the stadium going up

I tell you one thing - the view from inside the stadium is breath-taking.

for example, this is taken from the top tier of the West Stand..
