hadnt heard of the place, before ramsay's show. it was hidden round the back of Brighton Town Hall.. since then its moved along a bit, to bigger premises so something must be working!

I've been there twice.. once in the old place, once in the new. Had an excellent meal each time.
Maybe it comes down to expectation. If you're paying fairly low prices for basic but satisfying food, there's no point expecting it to be like the Ritz. I guess there are a lot of jealous people about in Brighton... maybe other restaurant owners?
All tasted very fresh to me.. don't like the macaroni cheese, a bit stodgy... but well worth a visit.
