Our net spend this summer stands at about £0.
According to transfermarkt.com our net spend in 2022/23 was +€82m, and in 2021/22 it was +€3m.
We are currently cash rich, so it looks like any deal for Kudus is financially independent of a potential Caicedo sale.
The fact that we've made a firm offer for Kudus without knowing if Caicedo would be sold or not, also suggests that Kudus is not seen as a Caicedo replacement.
So does that indicate that if Caicedo were to leave, we'd still be looking to sign Kudus plus a Caicedo replacement? And if so, who?

I like the last 3 seasons, we're £73m in the black plus whatever prize money we were awarded.

They are total losses. The club has spent (mostly wages on staff, players) £245m more than its received in income (commercial, transfers, TV) in the PL.
Tony Bloom - we'd hope continues to be generous - as he's now contributed £400m of his ££ to the Albion to service these losses and those whilst we were in the Championship and building the Amex and the training ground etc.

17-18: +11m
18-19: -21m
19-20: -67m
20-21: -53m
21-22: +24m
I make that a loss of 106m in the first 5 seasons. And if we made +24m with 70m worth of sales in 20-21, then I think it's reasonably safe to say that we'll have made something in region of 100m with last season's sales of 150m as well as additional prize and TV money for finishing 3 places higher, so that loss should be close to being wiped out once the 22-23 accounts are done.
You sure you're not thinking of loss since being at the Amex?

Yep. losses in the Champ were below- (and agreed we're likely to be in profit again for 22/23 accounts due to sales, prize money, cup run etc. )

Are you quoting accounting losses or true losses. Completely different entities. One relates to tax etc the other cash flow required to keep the business going.
