That is a fantastic piece of Engineering. The largest bridge I have been over in France is the Pont de Normandie. Not on the same scale but still impressive.

When we get past the Nimby's in this country we can build, manufacture some great things.
The high speed line from London down to the channel tunnel is one example and if you have not used it yet to get to Paris in just over 2hrs I would give it a go.

Am i right in saying that you can't actually see anything below the bridge when going across? I heard that it was deliberately designed for that reason because they were worried the view would distract and disturb people while driving and cause accidents.

I, also, have the Millau Viaduct as a screen saver but intend to experience the real thing soon. Thought the Pont de Normandie was amazing when we went over that this spring.
