Evidently the speakers are fine. It's the soundcard that's packed in without ever being used (?) - makes you wonder if Dell issue reconditioned hardware in brand new pc's.....

So now i'm back on the old PC til next wednesday when Dell will hopefully return my machine to me in working order this time...

I despise Office 2007 - its shit. Fortunately being part of the IT Team at work I have uninstalled it and gone back to 2003.

In front of the PC
I have 2007 on my laptop and 2003 on my PC and at work. Have to say I still prefer 2003 but only because I use 90% of the time. I think 2007 look cleaner. Also from an IT point of view since in 2007 you cannot move toolbars about it makes it easier when being asked questions over a phone.
