Michael Foot - Top Man

This is all quite good because Foot is a big hero of Prescott's - they come from the same Tribune wing of the party :)

I don't think you could class me anywhere near a Labour point of view, but I take this from Mr Foot in the manner it was intended.

He is hardly making a political point with this, he is simply stating that as a fellow football fan, he reckons that Withdean is unacceptable - which it is. He is not a war criminal trying to get some media time, nor is he some blown out druggie musician trying to get himself back into popularity. Should we be vetting the political leanings of all fans, investors, and everyone else involved with the club? Do we know which way Be**otti voted - do we give a flying f***? Would he have been a more honest man if he was Conservative? Would he have been a better director if he was Labour? Would it have made a f***ing difference? Of course not!

He is a 92 year old football fan making an honest statement of support, pretty simple really.:clap2: :clap2:

Well it's bloody mavellous that a 92 year old man is prepared to suffer Withdean in any case. The fact that he makes a compelling statement about Falmer is a bonus.

Just a shame that a man with integrity and conviction who sticks by his beliefs has no place in politics these days :nono:

Yeah, a life time spend trying to improve the lot of working people. What a terrible man. :dunce:
That's the problem innit, Labour have always hidden behind the mask of helping the "working man" how about "the working man" get off his sorry arse and help himself! To much molly codling if you ask me, just set the man free to deliver.

Yes why should you try to help any one. Better to let money go to money isn't it.

Wellsaid.

The fact that Micheal is a socialist makes it all soooooooooooooo much better.

One day we will rule the country and watch the Albion at Falmer.

Bloody legend, Michael Foot. Quite right that Dick Knight makes him a guest of honour when Plymouth play here. Anyway 3gulls thinks that Thatcher was a pinko sell-out.

It's very naughty, but, I can't help thinking of his Spitting Image caricature

Ah well, yes ah NURSES. Vote Labour. Because they need the social benefits, of and er, not fogetting doctors of course. FALMER. Yes, Falmer is where we need to go next. It is our DESTINY. And that of every right-minded person. Yes, it MUST b, ah, Falmer. I, er, I am reminded of the time when Bevan said unto the, er, nation that... TEACHERS. Now, yes teachers must never be forgotten. The fine upstanding body, that... No, that evil cesspit of Withdean, a sad reminder of Thatcherism at its, er, at its very worst... Because Falmer is ah... is where... mmm.
