With the current lack of 'big' centre forward and the impending return of Hinsh, could it be worth trying McShane up front a la Virgo ??

Clutching at straws a bit i know but, we already know he knows where the goal is & he is very skilful for a centre back.

Could it be worth a go ????

Did you just copy and post your thread from last year suggesting the same thing before Magoo actually did it.

Anyway with Magoo playing players out of position Im expecting McShane on the left wing anytime now...

I do agree

But Magoo will play him on the wing. FACT

I wouldn't mind seeing McShane being given a go in midfield - like we did with Lawrenson.

He's got good ball-playing skills and passing ability: it could work.

Can't see him as a striker though.

McShane has his work cut out at the back, keep him there where he belongs!

Yeah, for now

But how would you accommodate Hinsh?

Drop Butters?

Midfield for me. I think he would be a real asset for us there.

Can see some merit, but think it's a big gamble just cos he's got 3 goals. Could throw the defence into a tail-spin as well.
If we're going to mix and match I prefer to work a bit more on Carole up front.

There are then options to play with Hart, Robbo & CKR + for what very little I've seen of El Turenzo, could he also be worth a try? Remember Butters was "auctioned" for £5 when they announced he was playing one time.

I'm not criticising anyone, just stating that he isn't one of the best two centre backs in the squad.

It shows what strength in depth we have to be able to have Butt's on the bench!

We should always have 5 Butts on the bench, that is standard practice

Burnley had about 30 butts on their bench last night!! What was that all about!
