How can a manager with only 17% support still have a job?

Because people who vote on NSC polls don't get to choose how the club is run as strange as that may sound.

Of course they do they are customers and if enough complain the company or club would be foolish not to listen.

You don't run NTL by the way do you?

;) :)

Could the tide changed, and he has finally taken his rose tinted spectactles off and now seen the error of his ways?
Not much chance of the tide turning for old toenails I doubt.

I don't think he should go yet. But the increasing anti-magoo chants and moaning is not going to help the club at all. Therefore it might be the best option to get rid and start afresh with someone new. Although there's no saying that once we did get someone new in, we lose 3 games in a row and everyone wants him out and we're back where we started, just with a lot less money.

The poll has 107 voters so far. If you take an approximate regular Albion following of 6000 then the voters count for 1.8% of all fans. Are you saying that the club should take the opinions of 78 customers over those of the other 5922?
If it was a proper canvas of the opinions of all fans or at least a fair representation then fair enough. But it's not.
