Matthew Rose, born Dartford Kent 24 September 1975, is an English professional footballer who played for QPR.
Rose started at Arsenal as a trainee, captaining his side to an FA Youth Cup victory in 1994; he made his first-team debut against Manchester City on March 5, 1996. He made five appearances (three as sub) for the Gunners before moving to QPR for £500,000 in May 1997. He became a regular at QPR and made over 250 appearances for them in all competitions. He was released from his contract by John Gregory in January 2007 and left the club.
On 2nd February 2007 Matthew signed for Kent County league side Lewisham Borough

He is the nephew of some former neighbours...was a big prospect at one stage, think he was seriously ill and has gradually got himself fit again.
