I thought the presenters were quite even handed about it. And one was very complimentary about Brighton. They are just lamenting their current position in world foootball. They realise they can't compete with "teams like Broighton".

Not at Celtic particularly, but at the irrelevance of the league, dominated as it is by a decades long Banshees of Inisherin-like death struggle of two supposedly giant teams whose international relevance dimishes year after year after year. A plague on both their houses. They've sucked everything they could from the rest of their country's football and its been all for nothing. All of the wood has gone and just the big stone heads remain.

It’s a two team competition, which is better than a one team competition (I’m aware that Man City have won 4 in a row) but it feels like other teams can challenge in our league. From 1998 and the formation of the Scottish Premier League it has always been Celtic or Rangers that won the title. Every other team is in a separate competition, or might as well be.

I'm a Scot, don't support either of the big Scottish clubs, and have to admit - they're actually not very good. Having a massive fan base doesn't change that. Too many Celtic fans are living in the past (which was great).

And it's not really a proper derby as Celtic fans don't recognise the "new" Rangers (or "hun" as they say). In my experience, Celtic fans say it isn't important - then go on and on and on and on and on about the bloody "hun".

Didn’t Rangers only lose on penalties in the Europa League final a couple of seasons ago?

Well, it wasn’t me you were originally replying to, I wouldn’t personally say I was angry, but if you think that a league that has only had two winners in more than 25 years doesn’t have a problem with competitiveness, then I just hope you don’t work for a regulator.

England is the anomaly. Yes, there are plenty of arseholes who just support a big club instead of their local club, but there are still a huge amount of people who do support their local team, meaning that a lot of people go to games all through the leagues. Scotland is a bit messed up, with a disproportionate amount of people only interested in supporting one of the big two, which ruins their league system.
