Aberdeen Football Club has announced that manager Mark McGhee, along with assistants Scott Leitch and Colin Meldrum have left the Club.
Pittodrie Chairman Stewart Milne, expressing disappointment that things have not worked out as the Club had hoped, commented. "On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to thank Mark, Scott and Colin for their time at Aberdeen.
"It goes without saying that everyone at Aberdeen Football Club wishes Mark, Scott and Colin every success in the future."
The Dons' chairman confirmed that the search for a new manager would commence immediately without any timescale being set on the appointment, while details of interim arrangements being announced shortly.
Sounds like they walked rather than were fired.
Wonder whose fault it was? Can't have been McGhee's. Never is.
Clue was in the headline
Well, they can be described as 'leaving the club' whether they asked to or were told to.
Tsk. Deserves more respect than that.
not the biggest surprise - very few managers could survive a nine goal thumping and results haven't been good since so no sign of turning it around. Hope he gets a club at a decent level next time round. Knock him all you like - he is a good manager
