Wozza's point was pretty obvious...

It is easy to say he won't go without the club's blessing if he knows he will get that blessing should he be offered the job.

" He's unlikely to be offered the job "
" Also, not massively likely to be given the job "

Ladbrokes Plc

McGhee 2/1 - second favourite to get the job

Do you seem my point ?.

As far as I'm aware, nobody on here has ONCE questionned MM's 'honour and integrity'. Simply whether he was the right man for the Brighton job at the time of his leaving. Many felt that his time had come.

Without trawling thru yet ANOTHER MM binfest I agree Mr Hans.

I have said it before most managers have a shelf life of about 2 or 3 seasons - unles you are a Fergie or Wenger you either get the sack or get a "better" job. MM reached the end of his shelf life - as he will with Motrherwell in 2009/2010 if he dont get offered another job.

Yes MM thanks for highest position in 15 years or whatever, but also thanks for getting us relegated with a whimper the following season. Its all about balance INNIT.

f*** me its been over a year now, its like some ex that f***ing keeps hanging round and wont go away...

McGhee has a very real chance of getting the job , so its highly disrepectful and rude to have all the cheap comments about McGhee just saying it

Yes he is in the RUNNING for the job.

But he has hardly ruled himsef out of it, sacrificing the pinacle of his career out of some over-riding loyalty to his club.

He is just saying all the right things to journalists...

Course he MEANS it. You are missing the point completely.

I don't doubt he does not want to leave Motherwell in the lurch after they gave him a job.

BUT if he IS offered the job Motherwell will send him off to SFA HQ with their best wishes.

Is that too hard to grasp?

Not really Gareth. 2/1 means that in the eyes of the bookies, his chances of landing the job are 1 in 3. In addition, it seems there is also at least one other candidate who is more likely to get the job.

So all in all, I would say the chance of Magoo getting it is "unlikely".

And even if he was offered the job (unlikely), Motherwell are unlikely to stand in his way.

Chances of BOTH happening: highly unlikely.

You know, Gareth - like the chances of anyone getting rich from your racing tips.

I think its about time some on here stopped putting the boot in on McGoo. I think he's coped with the situation at Motherwell pretty well and he's done well for them this season. He had reached his sell by date with us and I think he had to go but as others have said the fact that he'd reached that time with us doesn't make him an irrideemably bad person or forever a crap manager. God luck Mark.

Now Leon Knight on the other hand.....

Nicely summed up. Pretty much my feelings on the matter.

MM has been doing a cracking job at Motherwell, and fair play to him. Things didn't work out for him here, but north of the border he's flying

He`s saying all the right stuff.

''Am I interested in the Scotland job ? I am flattered to be mentioned but I must emphasise that I am happy at Motherwell''

He`s gagging for it.
