Does anyone remember Lawro running three quarters of the pitch to score at the North Stand end ? If so is there a clip somewhere or tell me more detail , I was at the game but only vaguely remember It , but it stuck in my as one of the best solo goals at he Goldstone

Sadly, no footage of it exists.

If I recall correctly he ran right down the middle of the pitch splitting their defence - a bit like Moses and the parting of the Red Sea - before drilling the ball into the North Stand goal.

Yes. I remember it. He'd started to move forward a la Beckanbaur a few times and against Wolves he started another and just kept going and going. Eventually he let fly from about 25 yards. It wasn't a clean strike and I remember that the ball took a nasty bounce which beat the keeper. Exciting stuff for a young North Stander though!!

we went on quite a run against wolves early 80's just never feels right when we lose to them
