Malwarebytes and spybot both find

I opened the link on the Brighton / Bristol Rovers fans fighting thread (Yes, I'm an idiot & forgot about that schmuck davesviews), I ran a Norton scan & left it to shut the PC down once finished, but since I booted up the next morning my PC has been behaving very oddly.

It has slowed right down when starting up, logging in & shutting down, also the sound has been crackling quite a bit. I have run Norton & Ad-aware scans but they don't tell me I have anything to worry about, I will try to do a scan in safe mode later on, but was wondering if any of you nerds think it's just a coincidence or that there is now something wrong with my PC? If so any other tips on how to fix it?

I have tried googling, but I have not found much that has led to the sound getting better, or the PC speeding up.

Thanks

Restart your comp in safe mode.

Once in safe mode run the Malwarebytes scan again. It should detect the problem.

Then when prompted let it remove the threats for you.

Once that's done retart your comp normally and it should be gone.

Next time just be careful what videoporn sites you use.

Right here, right now
Boot up in Safe mode then run it from there.

Thats how I got rid when I had it a while ago. I know regularly run Malwarebytes and have Avast anti virus and 'so far' have not had another problem. :crossedfingers:

When we got it on the receptionists computer at my old firm, we ran rkill first and then Malwarebytes was able to deal with it.

There were very thorough instructions somewhere online that led us to this route and it was simple to follow.

Malwarebytes and spybot both find and cant get rid of a nasty bit of work called "Windows Protection Suite" on my granddaughters laptop, its one of those supposed antivirus detectors that want to hijack your 'puter and get you to give your credit card details to really dodgy geezers.
Anyone know of any freeware that will kill this bastard?
thanks for any help that dont include "turn it off and back on again".

I have a mate called Derek on this forum: Our Local - Index

who has a neat bit of software he's a developer of.

Basically he'll tell you what to download and to post some logs back to him. He'll then send you back a bit of code to put into his software that fixes it. He's never failed to get any malware off of my machine the two times I've had nasty attacks.

Just register and post in the PC help forum.

I got an IRQ driver error and PC blue screens , apparently Hitman would fix this but it doesnt.

Also have deleted everything i recently installed and recent drivers etc. Only thing I can think is its the sony ericson software that is killing this but I am unable to uninstall this , even from the registry. Just won't let me

Not meaning to hijack thread at all

Unsure if related but every bloody google search i click on now seems to redirect me to another search engine. Am ****** if I can sort this out

Tried AVG , C Cleaner , Hitman , Tried using Chrome and generally cleaning everything up

Try downloading the free version of Advanced System Care, that does a whole vareity of things and should speed up your PC. PM me if you're still having problems, I have a lot of experience of getting rid on viruses, especially from PCs 'protected' by McAfee.

100% this. I've had a "virus software scanner" type malware issue before. Rkill and MBytes. Jobs a good'un.
