His positional sense was good as well, rather than diving in, he pushed the winger wide and prevented a few crosses. There was one occasion when Batt (who was extremely quick) threatened down the right and Marcos managed to ferry him out to the corner flag without being threatened for pace, even though he is no where as quick as Batt. He is a proper left back, maybe not as attacking as some but he does what it says on the tin!
