Luton Deducted 10 Points

Surely the -15 that Leeds "took" as a punishment was in lieu of being relegated a further division.

I would suggest that if Luton cannot exit administration properly, they would be better off taking the relegation and having a decent chance of promotion back to league 2 at the end of that season, rather than a pretty guaranteed relegation by starting on -25. Either way, the worst they can be is still in the BSP for 2009-10.

Bit of a tough one for the supporters, but they're not the first and won't be the last to suffer such dramatic changes in their league position.

The 15 points deduction given to Leeeeds was an alternative to coming out of administration without a cva in place and NOT being expelled from the FL. Then they had the cheek to appeal on a technicality. Could be an interesting season in FL2 with Luton starting on -25 , Rotherham along with Bournemouth starting on -15. Two out of the three could be safe come the final game if Accrington Stanley perform the same as this season.

The report issued following their appeal suggested that the "standard practice" for the crime they (Leeds) committed (starting up as a new company) was that they would be relegated to league 2.

Regulation 11 is referred to.
