So Love Actually stole it from my sis today and I though it was well funny but then I thought this is a girlie type film and got a bit worried so I will leave it up to decide.

Is it a very funny and good film or is it absolute Cack?

Watched it last night and was expecting the usual wet Hugh Grant performance but was pleasantly surprised. A quality, cast and some very funny moments. B+

I went kicking and screaming to the cinema forced by Mrs Glover. I slumped in my chair as the lights dimmed with my arms folded wishing the next 2 hours away.

After 10 minutes I started to sit up and the arms unfolded , by the end of the 2 hours I had been thoroughly entertained with a witty and moving ensemble of stories and the bottom lip started to quiver.

Very good.

I actually like films like Notting Hill, 4 Weddings, About a Boy etc, but was a bit disappointed with Love Actually. Great cast, but never really made me laugh like the others. It wasn't bad though

Hither and Thither
My 15 year old daughter bought the dvd and has watched it umpteen times, including the bit where Richard Curtis, Hugh Grant, and Bill Nighy sit around and talk over the film whilst watching it.

It is massively sentimental, but does have redeeming features.

A bit ordinary if you ask me. I'm tired of that Hugh Grant Brit flick format. Some of the stories in it were quite good, some were shite (the PM/secretary bit was rubbish)

Indeed, the same story for me. Except it wasn't Mrs Glover that I went with, of course...

The singer was easily the best character.

Q. "whose your best shag?"
A. "britney spears.... only joking.... she was rubbish"

I thought it was not too bad. Quite an enjoyable way to while away a couple of hours but nothing classic. Good if you want a film you can enjoy without having to think about it too much.
