What a lovely place, I wish I could live somewhere like that, not.

No wonder the London cabbies bring the deprived city kids to Brighton for a treat!

Is that the only time you have visited the gateway to the south Yorks?! ;)

I think so. Many many years ago I worked for Nestles but in the Brighton branch.

I would be pleased if Ikea did open a branch in Newhaven but cannot see there being enough land for one.
Some of their furniture is great quality. all of our bedroom is Ikea.

I do like that building that houses the very small Theatre company down the road from East Croydon station.

Croyden is a shit hole.

At East Croyden station they literally have a sign up showing where you can find these 'buildings of interest'.

Ahh Croydon, aka 'Mini-Manhattan'. You missed out the Old Town Hall and Surry Street Market.

Most of the buildings in central Croydon belong to, or are leased by, the Immigration and Nationality Directorate, part of the Home Office, the Government Department I work for. Some of my colleagues used to work there. Most of them couldn't wait to move up to central London. I wonder why?

Just got back to Brighton from a cheeky little shopping trip to Croydon. 30 minutes up the railway line and it really is like entering the League of Nations. Horrified to see a Palace concession in one of their large supermarkets (Allders?).
