It is indeed Norwich's old ground, The Nest. There was a sheer concrete wall at one end. It was built on the site of an old quarry and the pitch was constantly falling though holes.

The FA shut it down due to safety concerns.

I can see it now. Someone charging down the wing then, without warning, vanishes through a hole in the pitch.
