Hmmm...

Brighton are 9/2 to win. Crawley are 35/1 to win theirs. There is then a 1 in 7 chance that the teams would be paired together in the quarter finals.

2205/2?

I'd go with true odds of Brighton 7/2 to get through and Crawley about 25/1.... + the 8/1 of then being paired together

Round it to 1,000/1

Any takers?

Are you sure it would be 8/1? You can't get drawn against yourself.
I have always thought that a "1 in 7 chance" was expressed as 8/1....?

edit: dunce - it should be 6/1....

1 in 2 = evens
1 in 3 = 2/1

lucky no-one snapped up the generous 1000-1 :)
