Severe disruption going on - Kings Cross Thameslink shut, London Bridge shut (structual damage) so we are being sent home an hour earlier.

Suggest everyone else does as Tube seems to be shut at various points.

The free state of Kemp Town
So there were storms exactly one year ago today too?

Fancy that!

Hither (sometimes Thither)
I didn't cycle in today either, due to the possible damage of being blown into a river as i cross some bridge with a gale of 85mph by my side.
Ballbags. I might have to jog an hour or more home.

Where did you hear that LB is shut? Can't find anything online about it.

New Cross appears to be shut accourding to the beeb. I'm assuming that is just the station and not the line?

Could be fun getting home tonight!!

To answer my own question I just got sent this:

SERVICE UPDATE
Please be advised that part of the roof structure at London Bridge station has been damaged by high winds. Therefore, the station is now closed to passengers, with the exception of those arriving there on incoming overground rail services.
There is no access to the station either on foot, or by London Underground services. Passengers are advised to go to the nearest London terminal to pick up National Rail Services

Sir!

Firstly, your comment belongs in the postcode thread.

Secondly, the postcode for Chichester is not FFS.

That is all.

Virgo's Haircut or British Bulldog, do you know anything about the East Grinstead line? We were royally screwed up this morning because of a tree falling on the line in the Riddlesdown/Sanderstead area, but when I last checked the Southern Railway website, they said the problem had been cleared. The Southern website is now down.

Good point, well made. I stand corrected.

I did of course mean to say:
