Way out West
I'll be there. Have an 08.00 start time, but I need to work out logistics of getting to Clapham from Somerset, so could be slightly later. If the weather's not too hot I'll wear the stripes.

In London village.
I'm sure the GDC can be assembled to throw empty bottles of Pimms at you as you cross the finishing line. Just make sure the Oaf does not break any major bridges or hills.

As we are heading off the Clapham (staying there over night), shortly.
Just want to say good luck to everybody taking part, ride safe, and I hope the weather holds.

Me and Wifey will be there.
As it will probably be my last, I'm looking for under 3 hours.
We start at 6:30 so it should be possible.

Did it:-
53.42 miles
2hrs 51mins & 56secs
18.6mph ave
49.2 Top speed

I hope everyone else did what they set out to do.

3 hours 46 minutes for me. Managed to make it non stop up Ditchling beacon which was my goal for the day. Top speed was 43mph down Coldean Lane which scares the hell out of you on a bike (and I was overtaken!!). Mrs BFF also completed the trip. Excellent day

I compleated it succesfully, as I do every year. Started around 8.45 (a bit later than planned) and finished around 3.45. Although we would have been quite a bit earlier if we hadnt have got held up in an accident just outside Chipstead. There were huge tailbacks. It looked quite serious. hope the bloke is ok.

Well done to those on here who done it btw.

Cheers, I was struggling around the 16mph mark, until going under the M25.
I then hooked up with 2 others and we 'chained' it down to Ditchling, going like pooh off a shovel, taking turns on the front, we were flying.

Failed the beacon, but i was shattered by the 1st bend. As well, took forever queuing in loads of places waiting for traffic and saw a few accident aftermaths, a couple looked real nasty.

Back in Brighton for 2pm, left the pub at 7pm :)

Good work fella's.
Wifey got up the Beacon too, I'm well proud of her.
I did pass a guy wearing the Polka Dot Jersey (TdF King of The Mountains), walking his steed from about the 2nd bend.
I didn't have the heart to point out how ashamed he should be.

392 people injured, and one person had a heart attack.

Someone ought to tell Alanis Morrisette that, then hopefully she'll be able to work out, what's ironic and what isn't.
