Seen this a couple of times with Liverpool...they struggle against teams that retain the ball and move it on quickly...eg..ALBION!

Aside from Lucas, they don't have a ball winning midfielder...despite their plethora of midfielders. I expect Spearing will play against us to counter that but if we keep the ball and play our natural game, we'll really cause them problems.

I haven't seen Carrol for Liverpool but whenever I saw him play for Newcastle he looked excellent, scored some great goals. He probably just needs a run in the team.

Not sure why everyone thinks he is crap. Obviously overpriced but they got £50 mil for Torres and got Carrol & Suarez so good business IMO

The ref is loving being in the spotlight.

We lose Painter for a ball to hand incident and subsequent yellow card. Adebeyor raises an arm, makes contact with the ball and concedes a free kick but no card.

Any refs out there care to explain why Painter got a card and Adebeyor didn't?

No team bias in that question-just wondering how refs arrive at their decisions.
