Sure, just like they were on Friday night. I've lived and worked there and they're hardly my idea of tolerant. Not as bad as some but nothing exceptional either, especially compared to the City of Brighton.

Lived there for 14 years. I've got many scouse friends and still visit the city regularly. Liverpool is far less tolerant of minorities in my experience than the South coast. Apart from Toxteth, most areas have an almost exclusively white demographic. I witnessed a lot of racism there. As someone said, not the worst place but certainly not the best.
