Glad to hear it too. As I said last week, the club, the police and the local council have put in a lot of effort since you were last here to make Ninian a much safer place for away fans to visit, and that effort seems to be paying off.

I won't even think twice about visiting next season. No longer worried about Cardiff. Although "2-0 and your heads kicked in" was a little worrying. :lolol:

Don't like to pick on players but you sense that the defence has no confidence in Yelldell and he should really have saved the penalty. Cardiff were physically stronger than us and I felt that Hammond could have made a difference.
A bit worrying as a performance!
Ninian Park is a safer place and the dj is all right. The Lumberjack Song is better than YMCA and he played a song for us at half time.

He also played 'Good Old Sussex By The Sea' about 20 minutes before kick off. And Queen's 'Brighton Rock' too. Along with 'Relax', 'It's Raining Men', 'Don't Leave Me This Way', 'Dancing Queen', 'I Will Survive', 'I'm Coming Out', etc.

Now why would a Cardiff fan have those tracks in his collection????

That was my first visit to NP and, beforehand, I was interested to see how it compared to my one & only visit to the Den back in 1985 when Mick Ferguson nearly got us killed. As it turned out, I didn't feel threatened in any way and, having left when the board went up for time added on, managed to get out of the car park quickly and was back in Brighton for 7.45.

TLB's in-depth research and advice were simply outstanding - thank you. You're a true football fan.

Our performance was the most inert/inept I've seen this season with only Nicolas and, to a lesser degree, Butters, showing any ability. I thought Inamoto buzzed around usefully for them and Gabbidon & Collins will never have an easier afternoon's work.
Over the two games with them, Cardiff have deserved 6 points and I'm sure they'll finish above us. They just need a bit more quality up front.

Good luck TLB for the rest of the season and for your new stadium which I look forward to visiting.

One lad manhandled out by about 6 or 7 stewards for demonstrating his upset at the ref's ridiculous "let's see if Cardiff score, oh no they didn't so I'll pull play back an age and give them a freekick" moment. He was putting up quite a fight (the Albion lad, not the ref).

Anyone know what he did?

I saw him leading the one man wind of the cardiff fans at half time and he seemed to be "loving it". Missed what happened all I saw was him being escorted from the ground. LEDGEND!

Way out west
The incident involving the bloke who was ejected happened not far from where I was standing, couldn't hear what was said or what led to the incident but there were a couple of stewards and a cop chatting with him. It was pretty animated with a bit of gesticulating, it went nuclear when some twat with a purple jacket waded in and put him in a headlock, at which point the stewards and several cops joined in and frog-marched him out of the stand. There was another incident at the back of the stand a couple of minutes later but I was trying to concentrate on our belated attempt to get into the game to pay too much attention.
