Us Brits love supporting our teams people etc when they do well. How many people got into Tennis when Henman actually played well or got back into Rugby after the last world cup or Cricket after the home Ashes matches?
If someone is doing well from England then it is good for the sport as we all get behind them so well done Jenson last year and now Hamilton this year

Agreed, Hamilton is probably first in a two horse race, does not make him our best sportsman IMO, but everyone to themselves.
