But ...
He is the new Lead Councillor for Planning on LDC. He wasn't on the Council when the previous decision to appeal was taken. If he is saying that he has no quarrel with the Club, I'll take that as a very positive shift in attitude.
Hopefully he can persuade his colleagues that they should bury the hatchet and behave differently from the old Council.
I got to meet Peter Gardiner quite a lot on polling station doorsteps during the two elections he and I fought (he won both of them). He strikes me as a very different character compared with his predecessors as Lead Councillors for Planning.
