Ar-gash breaking news - Albion have moved another step closer to signing Almeria striker Leonardo Ulloa.

The Argentinian is expected to secure the Spanish passport he needs to play in England next week.
Reports in Spain claiming Ulloa got the passport today have been denied by Albion boss Gus Poyet.
He told The Argus: "The passport itself he is not getting today, it's the citizenship. The passport could, in normal conditions, be next week."
Ulloa, 26, has been linked with other clubs but Poyet is confident Albion are in the driving seat to complete a deal once the passport issue is resolved.
He said: "I think we are the ones showing the most interest."
Meanwhile, Vicente has been included in a 20-strong squad for Derby's visit tomorrow.
The Spanish playmaker has been sidelined since August by thigh trouble.
Poyet said: "There could be a chance (against Derby). We have 20 players tomorrow and he is in the squad."

So thats one 'small' step closer to this happening or not.....

Triggaaar is absolutely right in that there is a degree of a gamble here. You really do never know how a player from overseas with no experience of the English game is going to adjust. We could find ourselves with a £10m+ player we have to fight to keep, or we could find ourselves with a c£100k player bench-warming.

The unknown makes it all quite exciting though.

Just hope it's not another Sandaza.

Just been looking at an advert on Sky, and i saw MORRIS go up to VICTOR Chandler and ask for a monkey on CLIO to be up front for the Seagulls.

Is this the same Fransisco "The Horse" Sandanza
that was left on the bench every week, but scored nearly everytime he came on ????

Precisely. Besides, when we signed CMS the general concensus was massive joy and excitement at signing a 30-goal a season striker. He's looked it at times, not at others (not a criticism of him, just an observation). Even "bankers" are never truly that.

As in another unknown player not knowing whether he'll actually do well or not.

Thanks for trying to belittle me though.
