There's a difference between 'a striker' and 'the right striker'. We could probably go and sign one tomorrow if we weren't being picky about it, but we all know that Gus (for better or worse) has very specific requirements on the kind of player he wants and that is bound to take more time.

From the article quoted above it seems like we might be nearing the endgame with this one, but I do have to hope that we're careful not to chase this for too long without success and end up with no time to sort something else.

Spot on. If we finally land this guy then, given the quality of the Spanish players we've seen so far, could be quite a coup. There's just no value in the English market.
