Well that was a good win indeed...

Here's hoping she's made her 'break through' into the big time.

Good luck to the young lady.

In all seriousness, she is going to become a top 5 player. Her technique looks pretty flawless and she's a lefty. She is the British number 3, at 89 in the world. Amazing.

She won't be At 89 for long. Playing like this she'll easily make top 50, and soon top 20. I did wonder about her ability, but this week she's played much better than I thought she was capable.

Absolutely not, my point was that it was amazing there are two British girls above her, but she's comfortably inside the top 100 herself. Our tennis output is getting much better, there are some talented young blokes threatening to be a bit handy too. In a few years time, we could have 3 blokes and 3 women inside the top 100 in the world. That would be serious progress.

if she were to win this evening could she just keep going to the final i wonder

one side of me thinks the womens game is so weak at the moment so why not and the other side thinks Stosur could be a different proposition alltogether. Clijsters had retirement in her mind and hasn't played much recently and Li Na is having a mare of a year.

The US Open tennis is probably the biggest sporting event I miss about not having Sky anymore. Some good late night matches in this Grand Slam.

lol, wooops

maybe not..stosur to kick on from here?

Stosur is the defending champ. She isn't bad at all to be fair to her and of she can get her head right and play her bland, but effective, percentage tennis then it will be very difficult for Robson. I see no reason why she can't win this though.
