Last nights sponors dinner

Another thoroughly enjoyable evening put on by the club last night.
I had the chance to have a good chat with both Liam Bridcutt and Chris Wood and asked both about next season. Liam said that nothing had been discussed yet, other than being told to hang on until the club knew which division they would be playing in next year. He's keen to stay, he says he and his girlfriend are settled here, they like the city, the club and all the players have made it very easy for them both to settle. A nice bloke.
Chris Wood is in a similar position, he's not had any contact with Roy Hodgson, but is in constant contact with the coaching staff at West Brom. He says for him, it all depends on where West Brom are next season and how many strikers are ahead of him in the pecking order. If they're still in the Premiership then he thinks he'll end up out on loan again somewhere, and would be more than happy to come back to Brighton for a season. He has 2 years left on his West Brom deal, so is in no hurry to make any decisions just yet. Like Liam, another really nice fella.

I'm the "shortie" next to Liam, and to be fair to my height, I was actually bending my knees a bit to make myself shorter than Liam! (something of a novelty for me, not to be the shortest!)
