In my opinion you start over again with the restore CD

Otherwise, download the sound, network and graphics drivers from the Advent website, install them, reboot and hope. There might be entries in Other Devices left still - you do not want there to be - but they're less important...

Not realy, but then I am deaf.

The laptop was screwed and they have given me a nice new one with Vista.
