A big BDO fan down the years but I have to say for the first time ever the draw looks a 'tad light' on quality.

Mr Hearn has allegedly already lined up Messrs Anderson and Webster for a PDC switch after the tournament, I seriously how long Olly Croft and his crew can carry on with their version in its current format.

Personally a couple of years asgo pre Barny moving over I would have loved to have seen a Top 16 of each PDC/BDO tournament, as I think the BDO might have shaded it, but Hearn has nicked too many good players.

The BDO Darts is the home of 'proper' darts and always will be. People should also remember that in the Grand Slam of Darts of the 8 Quarter Finalists 4 were from the BDO, whilst there may be a few unfamiliar names in there I am sure that as always a few gems will be discovered and the quality as always will be sky high as they enter the latter stages of the tournament.

But won't Mr Hearn get more predatory? For example, say amongst this 32 players is another Keith Deller 26 years on, who wins it unseeded, won't he just lure him away with promises of Vegas/Blackpool wild cards and a series of exhibitions, as he did last year with Mervyn King, who was quoted at last years BDO as saying 'He would rather give up darts than join the PDC"....or maybe not:thumbsup:
