I understand he walked out of the game today as there was a dispute.

Any idea what went on ?

He was fed up with all the stewards surrounding H block yet again. You'd think it was full of criminals.

Stewards took a guy to one side and he was blaming this other guy who was behind me, much to the annoyance of basically the whole block. This other guy was walking down the steps with the stewards giving this other guy the 'wanker' sign and saying f*** off to him. Then he slowly walked off to chants of 'wanker, wanker, wanker'. And at around half time that Krispies bloke put on his bag and coat and left.

At least that's what I think happened.

So why do they surround H block then ?

Barrel of Fun

Abort, retry, fail
If this is to do with consistent standing, then it is a bit rich considering the aay end stand for the entire game (or have done in the past).

Perhaps this situation has to be diffused, if people are going to walk out early or reconsider going to a game.

Difficult one. The stewards have a job to do and enforce the rules, but at the same time it can be rather draconian.

Because there are a fair few gobshites who argue back when they are told to sit down.

If EVERYONE was reasonable, then there wouldn't be a problem.

So there is a crackdown at present about sitting down ?

When everyone stands for the sake of it (i.e not a lot is happening but everyone is standing) people are asked to sit down. And a few individuals keep arguing with stewards about it, making the whole atmosphere a bit more hostile.

However, the stewards don't have a problem when something is actually happening.

Fair comment you need to be careful though if you are a STH and misbehave

I no they have rules but I cant see why they dont let it go, like they do with the away fans! So long as no ones view is blocked.

In fairness Yorkie there is a few in there there who stand for the pure intention of winding up the stewards.

Some kids at the back who stand ALL game, and one bloke who deliberately stands up (in the middle of people who dont) for prolonged periods for simply no reason at all.

I must admit though that the stand off has got a bit silly.

But as an observer from H block on the other side of the stairway, a few in there aren't really helping the situation.

First time I had sat in H block for ages today, some very pathetic reations from people. A bloke a couple of seats away from me stormed out not long after the forest goal with his young kid for being asked to sit down. Im sure some people are more interested in standing up than watching the game.

Forgot to ask, but what were Krispies, the mad agressive bald bloke, and someone else (dover?) in then impersonating stewards, walking around the block trying to sit people down. What was that all about?

simple solution guys - all of us on NSC who sing, thats you old guys near you bakesy and a fair few others including statto, porno mag boy etc make sure we COOPERATE together.

If the 10 or so of us cooperate together, it will get others to join in.

We need to try and work together as a team.
