Can’t really offer any advice that hasn’t already been mentioned…..maybe some help for Mrs Harry in the house as she waits on you hand and foot (should that be knee 🤔).
what I can do though is wish you all the best for a successful op and recovery period

I’m on the waiting list for a partial replacement. Do you get a choice of local or general?
I think that's a good question . My friend had a general for her full replacement- she didn't want to hear / witness all the butchery going on.

Suggestions:
Depending on how much physio your NHS trust offers (and it varies!) consider paying for a few extra private sessions, perhaps in between the scheduled NHS ones. Really not that expensive in the grand scheme of things.
Consider getting a cheap static exercise bike to get the knee moving (with no resistance).
Get a cryo-cuff

Good luck.

Build up your quads, lose a few pounds, whatever the post-surgery physio tries to get you to do +25%.
Choose your surgeon carefully, I've found a good one but did have an arthroscopy performed or not as they case may be) by a wrong 'un who didn't do what he was paid to do.

My missus got one that just covers the knee area. They can be very tight for the first couple of weeks because of the swelling, but better than having to take her outside and hose her down
I used a bin liner.
Carefully place the foot through said waste receptacle, secure at top and bottom.
Job's a fish.
