Why isnt this being held in Brighton? Wouldnt it make more sense and attract more people?

Several reasons ..

1: We were keen to hold some testimonial events away from Brighton - bring Kerry to the fans so to speak. All other events are in Brighton (& Hove)

2: Ideally we would like to hold 3 events (with totally different guests each time to make it a unique evening and worthwhile for fans to attend more than one if they so desire).

3: This is a truly FANS event, not one for the Corporate boys (although they are of course welcome!) therefore we felt we could go further afield

4: We will have to see how this one goes before making a firm decision on holding more events but if we do then we have opted for Burgess Hill and Eastbourne as the bases for the subsequent Forum's - a good spread around the county ... we would hope to hold the second one in January and the final one in March

5: Kerry's brother runs the Thomas a Becket so it seemed a logical first choice of venues - it also means we can throw in a free drink with the price of the ticket!!!

6: Err....

Barry was Kerry's first boss .... when he was in the Youth Team

The testimnial is for 10 years service as a PROFESSIONAL - Kerry has actually been with the club for 16 years!

Hope this doesn't turn out to be a complete disaster! Can't make it myself but will go when he does the one at Burgess Hill football club.

Can't make Worthing, but if there's going to be one in Burgess Hill sometime I'll be sure to go to that.

In a pile of football shirts
I'll be there, with Superwife and a ginger freak!

I'm going to pay on the gate.

Will there be stewards, making us sit down? Can we sing? Will it really be Kerry putting in an appearance? Or will Frutos be drafted in as emergency cover?

ahhhh...now we see!

After being abused by some Worthing Pikey Scum when I treid to park outside its house for the friendly, I think I will give Worthing a miss.

STOP-PRESS

Jimmy Case has been unavoidably detained in Southampton.

Therefore at shot notice, the legend that is GERRY RYAN will now be attending tonight's Forum

Yes - one of the reasons why "we hate palace", the former Irish international and member of the Albion's Glory Years will recall those magnificent days as we rose to the top flight of English Football, culminating in the FA Cup Final, for which he came on as substitute after Chris Ramsay was so brutally terminated by the Man U thugs.

Gerry himself of course was awarded a testimonial by the Albion back in 1986 and is pleased to help celebrate Kerry's tonight

Also present from the Albion's first team will be Alan Blayney and Adam El-Abd
