It f***ing flew at the end, was last and ended 3rd to get each way, if the jockey had got it going 1/2 furlong earlier it would have won easily. That cost me £ 1000 as I had £ 175 to win going on in doubles and accumulators.

Bit of a shame they ran it over five furlongs instead of it's usual six or seven furlongs. As you say, it was flying at the end and would deffo have won over a further furlong. Ah well, eh? Nice profitable day tho, cos as well as Ghantoot which obliged (got it at 3/1), also had another course specialist Mister Clinton at 7/1. Woo-hoo!

And now it only remains to settle down to watch all me Portugal bets come tumbling in...

the best bet for next season is
palace to go down 1/2
brighton to go down 5/2
milton keynes to go down 6/1

try doubles and trebles

:)

Not being a betting man I'm a bit clueless so where would you find the odds on all three happening on one bet?

Not that I would of course :p

The Albion race day was the first time I had ever bet on a horse.

In fact I got Locky to do it for me because I didn't know what to do.
First race I won. All well and good and very exciting.

I didn't bet again until the last race when a horse called Yorkie was running.
It had to be done, didn't it?

It came in 7th out of 8 horses so I don't think I'll bother again :lolol: :lolol:

My bet for next season is:
Arsenal, Leicester, Hull & Wycombe all to win their divisions. £5 stake, £10K in the bank in April 2005.

Arsenal - yep, Leicester - yeah, can see that - Hull - seems sensible.

Wycombe???? Best bet there is Adams to be sacked by Christmas.
