Hands up who remembers this?

"You don't have to be part of the crowd
Just be who you are, and stand up proud

Just say no (NO!)
Just say no
Just say no (NO!)
Just say no

You don't have to act like a great big star
You can be a hero, just be who you are

Just say no (NO!)
Just say no
Just say no (NO!)
Just say no

Don't listen, don't listen to, anyone else
All you have to do is be yourself
You've got everything inside of you
Have faith in yourself
All your dreams will come true

Just say no (NO!)
Just say no
Just say no (NO!)
Just say no"

:lolol: :lolol: :lolol:

I wonder if this wholesome message would work on today's kids?

Poor old Zammo. God I feel old :lolol:

That was a great story line at the time. For a childrens program to be focusing on drug addiction was very brave. Cannot see it having the same effect these days though. For starters children are alot more aware of drugs. When that was on Grange Hill I must have been in my early teens and honestly did not know what herion or cocain was. These days 10 year olds know all about it.

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
If anyone is interested Zammo runs a hardware store in Wallington in Surrey. When I take the missus up to the station in the morning I normally see him doing the same in his little red Peugeot.

He is quite a big chap these days, but his missus is certainly 'do-able'

;)

It was heroin Zammo was on, was it not?

I'm struggling to remember, as it's right at the boundaries of my televisual memory.

Just made me chuckle at the mere idea that a bunch of 15 year old acting school graduates singing (badly out of tune, it must be said) would put other kids of the same age off trying gear.

Having said that, it stuck in my mind, and I've never taken up smack- hey, it worked!

Hither (sometimes Thither)
Zammo's cousin drowned. Not in a big bucket of boiling smack, but the school pool with blood on his temple. He was a human teabag, unstirred, but leaky.

Presumably in his case it should have been Just Say No...To Mars Bars.

That yokel with the long hair and stupid beard whos on Channel 4 (cant remember his name) did a show last year and reunited the cast to perform the song at a school disco club night in London. Cant remember who else done it but definately Zammo and Fay.

Petition for a rerelease?

Do me a favour, I downloaded it earlier to see if it was like I remembered. When I heard it, I couldn't believe what crap singers they all were!

Still, I'm sure it stopped countless kids becoming smackheads, so that's ok

:lolol:

What, you mean you didn't take notice of the Trevor Cleaver alcoholism storyline either?
