Like you I went from being elated (at winning two grand), to gutted (that it was one number off £2.7 million).

But at the end of the day, banking a cheque for £2007 from a £1 lucky dip ain't bad.

I know but it's the second time I have just missed out on a big pay day, few years back I had the first 5 legs in the scoop 6 and blew out in the last leg and was the only ticket left for 250k.

Got 5 numbers here an age ago, was 1,300 at the time. As mentioned above, initially I was mainly annoyed that it was a number off the jackpot or the bonus number off 5k and, that week specifically, a BMW 5 series.

Paid for a nice holiday though, and it was cash I wasn't expecting so the annoyance cleared!
