JPT Prize for Winners

I read somewhere that the winners get 100,000 and our share of a 60,000 Wembley gate could be another 300,000? Is this close to accurate?

If so, we should do all possible to win this thing. Outside of a good day out for all concerned, it makes up for the FA Cup Exit.

If we beat Luton in mid Jan, maybe the board will take a punt and use some of the "to be collected" monies to bring in new players?

I've heard £100k or £150k for the winners, and 50% of (£30 x 50,000 = £1.5m --> £750k).

Nice little pay day if we get through.

My mate is a Donny Rovers fan and when they won it two years ago they reckoned it was worth £1m to them with prize money, gate receipts, TV coverage and all the other promo add ons. So pretty important as well as a good day out.

Wembley must charge for the cost of running the show, so I doubt we'd get a full 50pct of the take...prob 50% of the net after expenses. Perhaps the fans should think about the implications of close to a million quid windfall for the club at a time when the squad needs a little love. Would be nice to get a full house for the 1st leg....and a thousand or more travelling to Kenilworthless Road.

Surley getting this far has been worth a fair whack?

Especially with the game being on the tellybox last night

Well we got £10k for being on TV, and the prize money even at this stage is pretty minimal I believe.

Ticket prices would be between £20-£30 for adults, looking at the Northern Finalists neither would take more than about 10k so I think you'd do well to get over 40k for the Final.

So say 40,000 at approx £25 per person (generous estimate considering cheaper concession tickets) is £1,000,000, and after all the expenses had been taken out I'd say a 30% share of that is about right.

I went to the Millennium Stadium to see the Donny game and it was the best part of thirty quid a ticket. Multiply that by 60,000 and you have £1.8m to be shared out. Plus TV money, plus prize money, plus all the shirts you sell, plus DVDs and so on and you won't be far off £1m.

Scunthorpe would probably muster 25,000 if they got to Wembley whereas Rotherham might struggle to take any more than 12,000. Even a shit team with even shittier fans (Grimsby Town) took 30,000 twice to Wembley in 1998 and 28,000 to the Millenium in 2006.

56,618 turned out at Wembley last season for the final between MK Dons and Grimsby.

Gate receipts were estimated to give each club £350,000. And the winners trousered £100,000.

Cheapest will be £20/£25 for the highest tier
Middle tier will be £30/35
Pitch side will be £40

Attendance will be at least 50,000
